The second annual JK 5K is in the books! Over 700 participated in the JK 5K in 2011. The 5K run is an official race and the course is USA Track & Field sanctioned and certified. Families enjoyed a pre and post-race celebration with refreshments, kid's activities, and music, giveaways & games. The picturesque course started and ended at Cove Park, Wethersfield, CT. The course runs through the quaint village of Old Wethersfield, passing historic homes, churches, and businesses. "Our goal in 2011 is to continue towards raising money for the clinical trials program, child life in hematology/oncology, and the family assistance fund. 100% of the proceeds from The JK 5K will be donated to the Connecticut Children's Medical Center." http://www.jamiesrun.org/
